Landscape practice

November 07, 2017 in Notebook

Landscape practice.

This afternoon, I'm listening to David Hinton at Upaya Zen Center, speaking on landscape practice.

David is a poet, author and scholar of Ch'an Buddhism and Taoism. Here, he explores the roots of these traditions in landscape practice. My own work is very much rooted in nature and the landscape, so he speaks to the origins of my work too.

His books are well worth your time, as is the talk.
