Further to my emptiness essay earlier, when I read Thich Nhat Hanh's 'Message to Friends in Japan' earlier today, this paragraph expressed the nature of our connectedness better than I could express it. Perhaps because the pain I'm feeling from Japan and all of humankind right now makes it harder for me to write with the honesty that Thich Nhat Hanh can.
