There’s a snowflake, falling.

What is moving? Just the snowflake? Everything is moving.

Nothing is moving.

There’s a snowflake, falling. What is actually there, here?

Only silence.

Still, calm, sweet silence.

Gently holding everything in it.

Yu Dong-yeong said of snowflakes:

“All snowflakes fall where they belong.”

At first glance, snowflakes seem to fall randomly as they please, but each and every one is said to fall into its own place.

The lives of practitioners, who cast off worldly attachments and embrace their karmic ties, are no different from snowflakes; they all wind up where they belong.”

We are all exactly where we should be, when we should be there.

Right here, right now. This is it.

If the snow is falling where you are today, there is a teaching in it. If it isn’t snowing, there is still a teaching in it.

Snowflakes are the finest teachers.
