The Zen art of book divination.

There is a little known practice in Zen, book divination. I discovered it through my Chanoyu (Japanese Tea Ceremony) sensei, Adam.

I have begun to explore the art of book divination, using traditional Zen books, including two little known books, Zen Sand, and Wind in the Pines. These two books travel with me wherever I roam, along with key Zen poetry texts of Basho, Chiyo-ni, Ryokan and Mitsu Suzuki. Poetry books can be used for book divination also. Then there is the vast Kindle library that is always in my pocket.
