light

What a poet is

What a poet is.

"A poet is someone who can pour light into a cup, then raise it to nourish your beautiful, parched, holy mouth."
— Hafiz

The poems I share here are the voices of stillness.

Funny thing is, I never proclaimed myself a poet, nor the poems to be poems. People kept sending messages, saying things like “I love your poems.” Three lines or 30 lines, most of what I write, it seems, is perceived by the world as poetry and I as a poet.

Poets never existed.

Nor poetry.

Only the light, the stillness.

I still don't call them poems. Here, they are simply labelled so by and for the ones who sip the light they serve.

Those who declare themselves poets, rarely are.

Because they're more interested in themselves than serving the light.

Join me, as we sip together from this cup.
