Silence.
This is not a phenomenal silence, yet all phenomena arise in it, are of it.
It has no opposite, such as sound, or noise.
This is true, primeval silence, non-phenomenal in nature.
It is of the nature of naturelessness.
Essential, it is the essence of all things.
No matter what phenomena arise, this silence is found, ever present.
Even should all hell let loose, this primeval silence can not be disturbed.
It is not the baseline, or the background.
It is the very essence and fabric of existence, from which all things arise, and into which all things must return.
This silence is our own true nature, the nature of all things, inseparable, undefinable truth.
Contemplating the
nature of silence.
