Hidden
Today, I’m happy to share a collaboration I was invited to by Lora of RNR Creative.
She invited me to curate a playlist of ten tracks, on the theme of silence and stillness, to which she would add ten more. I named the playlist Hidden, after the poem above.
Listen to Hidden: music to contemplate, create, and sip tea to.
Lora also asked me to answer a couple of questions on the theme of stillness and silence, read on, for her questions, and my answers.
What does stillness and silence mean to you?
Stillness means the eternal stillness, that which holds all things and all movement within it.
Silence means the eternal silence, that which holds all sound, all speech, all music, within it.
At first glance, stillness and silence appear to be empty of content, whilst in reality, they are in fact full, overflowing, boundless, and eternal. Together, they contain all, they are life itself, perfect, and whole.
What is one poem/quote that you invite us to contemplate?
I offer up a contemplative poem of mine as an aid to contemplation on the nature of void, and that which appears within it:
hidden
in an empty field —
10,000 unborn flowers
— Andō.
