Life is a bird path.
A bird leaves no trace in the air.
A bird in flight sees no path ahead and leaves none behind.
The “Bird Path” is a phrase used by seventh century Zen Buddhists to describe the way in which each individual diverges in a unique manner from the source of being.
Each individual's path as it returns to that source is also unique.
This bird path is the spiritual journey.
Once the source of all things is recognised as our own source, our true home, we realise that there is, and never was, no path, no journey, no beginning and no end.
The source is eternal.
This is the bird path.
On which we all unavoidably fly.
