Bashō with an iPhone.
I wake to short, dark days, filled with mists, frosts and snows now. A gentle wabi atmosphere abounds.
I've often described myself as being a little like
Bashō , with an iPhone. When I feel the need to learn or study the art and craft of haiku poetry, I always turn to Bashō, not to some contemporary recycling of his essential wisdom, which we are drifting further from with each passing day.
I increasingly find that I am applying haiku principles to my life, including areas such as writing, the creative process, health, movement, travel and money.
