"I looked in temples, churches, and mosques.
I found the divine in my heart."- Rumi
Over at Silences, today's seed thought is "Enquire. Within." On my own spiritual path, I have explored many routes.
Starting out on the path of Christianity, brought up a Roman Catholic, I progressed to an enquiry into Zen Buddhism at the age of 19. By 24, I was reading widely around Buddhism and spirituality in general, exploring Buddhism from many angles, and a brief foray into Paganism.
Later, I dug deeper into Buddhism, and explored theTibetan Bön tradition. I was a student and meditation leader in New Kadampa Buddhism for a couple of years, but as always, I returned to Zen.
Currently, I am studying Zen, the Tao, Hinduism and Yoga, with a daily practice based on Zen and Yoga. All the answers I need are right here, within.
There's nothing wrong with spiritual tourism, so long as you remember to come home to yourself.
The path I am following now? My own path.
