Nomad that I have been these past 7 years, this week found me in Peniche, Portugal, amidst the biggest chain of Atlantic storms I have seen in my lifetime.
Seeking a cosy night out, to sit quietly with my partner, I looked no further than Surfers Lodge Peniche, a Nordic concept hotel, here in the heart of Portuguese surf country.
Yesterday, Surfers Lodge, I sipped Super Bock sem alcool, a refreshing local non-alcoholic beer, and discovered the Nordic Surfers Mag (NSM), whose tag line is “no palm trees.”
Today, as I pack my bags to move on, this has been a breath of fresh air. 10 days in Peniche has blown a wind of change through my life, once again.
More soon, as I journey to, and wake up in, Galicia.
