"When external factors shift we have an opportunity to rediscover our core which is the only truly safe place to call home."
– Daily OM
In my life, so many factors have shifted, without warning, over the past three weeks, that each day feels like walking on quicksand. I just have to keep moving, fleet of foot to avoid sinking, making swift decisions and manoeuvres.
In time, the sands will firm again, and the path will become clearer. Meanwhile, it's still my path, and it is mine to walk.
How to survive this sometimes unnerving experience? Dig a little deeper, step inside, and find that warm place called home within.
This involves meditation. I sit, in silence, daily, usually for 30 minutes, sometimes twice that. But if all I have is 5 minutes, then I will use that time to enter that silent place within.
