Neti Neti.

Neti Neti / Composed and performed by Sanjiva.

Sanjiva blows the empty wind of zen through the bamboo in this meditational album of his shakuhachi compositions.

I listen to a lot of shakuhachi, as I’m learning the instrument, for meditation and breathing. The most beautiful zen instrument. This album brings an air of quiet contemplation with it.[/ezcol_1half]

Neti neti” means “not this, not this” or “not this, not that.”

Found in the Upanishads and Avadhuta Gita it is an analytical meditation to help a person understand Brahman nature, by first understanding what is not Brahman.

In Jnana Yoga practice it is one of the key practices, to reduce distractions from the meditative awareness of reality.[/ezcol_1half_end]
