Better day 27.

“Begin. Yesterday.”

It’s that important to change and grow, that we should have each begun to create change and growth yesterday. Only we can’t, can we? Because we only have this moment. We don’t even have today, because even today contains the past, the present and the future.

It is only in the present that we can begin to change. Maybe it is a change to meditate more, to practice more yoga, to give more, to work harder, to study harder. Whatever it is, you can begin that change right now.

This way, when tomorrow comes, and becomes the present moment, the change you made today, the work you began today, will have been begun yesterday. This is such a simple, yet powerful thing. A dripping tap will eventually fill a dam. So will our efforts fill our lives.

“The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don’t wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.”

- Thich Nhat Hanh
