stop

Sit where you are.

What does meditation mean for you?

Zazen?

Shikantaza?

Silent sitting?

A moment of peace?

Sit where you are.

Wherever you are, right now, stop, sit, breathe, and remain in silence.

Whatever thoughts are racing through your head, leave them alone. Let them be. They can’t touch you if you don’t dive in with them. Sit back, let them rage, and just sink quietly into the silence.

For 30 minutes if you can. But if it’s only for 1 minute, do it anyway. Then do it again, every time you feel the need to stop

If you don’t have even a minute, and only have time for 3 breaths, then try a pause button meditation. But whatever you’re doing, right now, just stop.
