The Snows. An online retreat series, for those seeking to make space for Zen contemplative practice in their lives.
A poetic-hearted retreat series, with inspiration drawn from the Zen and Ch'an contemplative practices of silent sitting, kōan practice, poetry contemplation, and tea meditation.
Inspired by the Buddhist tradition of the winter snows retreat, I’m offering The Snows, a series of four online retreat sessions held on Sunday mornings throughout January. There is no requirement to join live, you can join at a time (and day) that suits you.
Sessions include guided meditations, readings, commentaries and personal contemplative time.
The retreat will be delivered in four sessions, on Sunday mornings throughout January. Dates are 6, 13, 20 and 27 January 2019. You do not have to be able to join live, but will be able to access the content at a time and date of your own choice, to suit your own schedule. Audio recordings will also be available to download for offline listening.
Delivered via email each Sunday morning (GMT), content may include video, audio, image and text.
I am so happy to be able to invite you to share in my own path of practice with you through this retreat series, I hope you will be able to join me.

Andō is the real deal. Go be with her.
I am thrilled with the readings, meditations and practices. I remember what you said about the silence inside and that has been helpful.
I was inspired by silence even more so than usual. The practices and your commentary have become a welcome extension of my own daily practice.
Your teaching is bringing deep calm. It is also stirring poetic experience.
Thank you for nourishing mornings with your voice.
Listening to your calm and peaceful voice makes me pause and take that deep breath.
I certainly need that silence.
I’m truly grateful for you.
